Before, during, after

A run, in three moments.

Before you head out

Start Live.

Tap Live and pick one, two or four hours. Your glucose sits on your lock screen, in your Apple Watch Smart Stack or in a quiet notification on your Galaxy or Pixel Watch, for a glance at the start line.

On the run

Glucose next to your pace.

On a Garmin, the Ando Glucose data field shows your latest reading on your run screen, updated every five minutes, for the whole run however long it lasts. Garmin Connect charts it afterwards.

After the run

The whole story, and your club’s kudos.

The run arrives in Ando with its glucose curve from before the start to an hour after, pace and heart rate alongside. Log your gels to see them on the line. On Strava, a glucose block tells your club how it went.

  • Time in range and average for the run

Easy runs and intervals

Why no two runs leave the same line.

An easy run and a set of intervals can push your glucose in opposite directions, and race-day nerves add their own twist. Our article why glucose goes up, or down, during exercise explains the common patterns, and CGM delay why your sensor can look a few minutes behind when things move fast.

The best teacher is your own history: with every run in Ando, you can put similar sessions side by side and see your pattern.

FAQ

Questions people ask

What is the best way to see my glucose while running?

On a Garmin, add the Ando Glucose data field to your run screen: your glucose shows next to pace and heart rate for the whole run. On an Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch or Pixel Watch, start Live before you head out.

Does it work for long runs, trail runs and marathons?

Yes. The Garmin data field runs for as long as the activity timer does. Live lasts up to four hours per session; for longer events, the data field covers the whole race.

Can I see the gels I took on my glucose curve?

Yes. Open the run in Ando, tap Add carbs and log each gel with its time. Each one becomes a marker on the curve, and the run’s carbs total adds up what you took during it.

Can my running club see my glucose on Strava?

If you connect Strava, Ando adds a short glucose block to your activity descriptions: time in range, average, minimum and maximum, with a link to the full curve. One switch turns it off.

Which sensors work?

Dexcom G7, G6 and ONE+, FreeStyle Libre 2 and 3, Medtronic Simplera and Guardian, Medtrum TouchCare Nano and Nightscout.
