On your wrist

Live in the Smart Stack.

When you start Live on your iPhone, Ando shows your glucose as a Live Activity: on the lock screen, in the Dynamic Island and, with iOS 18, in your Apple Watch Smart Stack. Raise your wrist for your latest reading, its trend arrow and how long ago it was taken.

  • One, two or four hours, your choice
  • Nothing to install on the watch
  • Every sensor Ando supports

Through Apple Health

Every workout and night, in context.

Ando reads the workouts and sleep your Apple Watch records in Apple Health, in the background. Each workout gets its glucose curve from before the start to an hour after, with time in range and average. Each night gets your deep, light and REM sleep next to your overnight glucose.

  • Runs, rides, swims, strength, yoga and more
  • Sleep stages from your watch

Set it up

Three steps, all on your iPhone.

  1. Connect your sensor

In Ando, connect your Dexcom, FreeStyle Libre, Medtronic, Medtrum or Nightscout. Our guides show every tap.

  2. Allow Apple Health

Let Ando read your workouts and sleep, so your Apple Watch sessions and nights arrive on their own.

  3. Start Live

Tap Live on the home screen and pick one, two or four hours. Your glucose appears on your lock screen and in your watch’s Smart Stack.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Can an Apple Watch measure blood sugar?

Not on its own. An Apple Watch does not measure glucose. It can show the readings of a CGM sensor you wear, such as a Dexcom or a FreeStyle Libre, through apps like Ando.

Can I see FreeStyle Libre 3 glucose on my Apple Watch?

Yes. Connect your Libre to Ando through LibreLinkUp, then start Live on your iPhone. With iOS 18 or later, your glucose shows in your Apple Watch Smart Stack.

What about Dexcom G7, Medtronic Simplera or Medtrum?

They work the same way. Live shows the glucose of any sensor Ando supports: Dexcom G7, G6 and ONE+, FreeStyle Libre 2 and 3, Medtronic Simplera and Guardian, Medtrum TouchCare Nano and Nightscout. Some sensor makers also offer their own Apple Watch apps for some sensors and countries; Ando works alongside them.

Do I need to install an app on my Apple Watch?

No. Live runs on your iPhone as a Live Activity, and watchOS shows it in the Smart Stack. There is no separate watch app or complication to set up.

Which iOS version do I need?

Live Activities on the Apple Watch Smart Stack need iOS 18 or later on your iPhone and a watch on watchOS 11 or later. Ando’s Live on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island runs on iPhone.

Does Ando import my Apple Watch workouts and sleep?

Yes, through Apple Health. Ando reads your workouts and your sleep stages, in the background, and lines each one up with your glucose.

Does it work if my iPhone is not nearby?

Live runs on your iPhone and your watch mirrors it, so keep your watch connected to your iPhone. Your iPhone also needs to be online to receive new readings.
