Two apps, two jobs
What each one is for.
Your sensor app owns the sensor. Ando owns the context.
| Your sensor app | Ando | |
|---|---|---|
| Talks to your sensor | Yes | No, reads from the cloud |
| Glucose alerts and alarms | Yes | No, keep your sensor app |
| Reports for your doctor | Through your sensor maker’s tools | No |
| Your glucose on every workout, automatically | Not automatically | Yes, from your watch and apps |
| A glucose block on Strava | No | Yes |
| Glucose on a Garmin during workouts | Some sensors, through the maker’s own apps | Every supported sensor |
| Sleep stages next to your overnight glucose | Usually not | Yes |
| Daily and weekly wraps | Usually not | Yes |
| Share cards from your sessions | Usually not | Yes |
Why keep both
Care and context are different jobs.
Sensor apps are made by sensor makers and built around care: reading the sensor reliably, alerting you, giving your healthcare team reports. That job matters, and Ando doesn’t try to do it.
What they aren’t built for is the rest of your life. Your runs live in Garmin or Strava, your nights in Oura or WHOOP, your glucose in a third app. Ando brings them together: the curve on every workout, the stages under every night, a block on every Strava post, a wrap of every day and every week, and Live when you want a glance.
Ando reads your glucose from your sensor maker’s sharing service with your own login, and never changes anything on your sensor. How your login is protected.

FAQ
Questions people ask
Can Ando replace my Dexcom or Libre app?
No, and it is not meant to. Your sensor app reads your sensor, uploads your readings and handles your alerts. Ando reads your glucose from the cloud and puts it in the context of your workouts, nights and weeks.
Is Ando an alternative to the Dexcom or Libre app?
It is a companion. People look for an alternative when they want more than readings and reports: their glucose on their runs, on Strava, on their Garmin, next to their sleep. That is what Ando adds, next to the app you already use.
Does Ando work without my sensor app?
No. Your sensor app is what uploads your readings to the cloud. Keep it installed, signed in and allowed to run in the background.
Does Ando connect to my sensor directly?
No. Ando never talks to your sensor over Bluetooth and never changes anything on it. It only reads from your sensor maker’s sharing service.
Does Ando have glucose alarms?
No. Ando is not a medical device and is not an alarm. Keep your sensor app for alerts and follow its instructions for treatment decisions.
