What Ando adds to your Nightscout

Your glucose, back in the context of your life.

Every workout

Your Nightscout data, in context.

Ando reads your entries from your own site and lines them up with every workout from Garmin, Apple Health, Strava, WHOOP, Oura or Fitbit. Each one gets its curve from before the start to an hour after, with time in range and average.

  • Any sensor and uploader your site already receives
  • Add the carbs you took and see them on the curve

On your wrist

Nightscout on Garmin, Apple Watch and Wear OS.

The Ando Glucose data field shows your Nightscout glucose on a Garmin during workouts and charts it in Garmin Connect. Live puts it on your iPhone lock screen and Apple Watch, or in an Android notification that reaches Galaxy and Pixel watches.

  • No watchface to build or host
  • Live for one, two or four hours

Strava and nights

On your Strava posts and against your sleep.

Each Strava activity gets a glucose block with time in range, average, minimum and maximum. Each night, your sleep stages from your watch or ring sit next to your overnight curve.

Connect your Nightscout

Your URL and a secret or token.

Ando reads your site the way any follower app would. Private sites work too.

  1. Check your site

Make sure your Nightscout URL opens in a browser and shows recent readings.

  2. Get a secret or a token

Use your API secret, or create a read-only token in Nightscout’s Admin Tools. A read token is the cleanest choice.

  3. Sign in to Ando

Choose Nightscout, paste your site URL and the secret or token. Ando fetches the last 36 hours straight away.

How Ando uses your secret

Ando stores your URL and your secret or token encrypted, and talks to your site the way Nightscout expects: a hashed API secret, or your token. It only reads entries, never writes to your site. You can paste your URL with or without https:// and with a ?token= at the end; Ando tidies it up.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Which sensors work through Nightscout?

Any sensor whose readings reach your Nightscout site. If your site shows the readings, Ando can read them.

Should I use my API secret or a token?

Either works. A read-only token, created in Nightscout’s Admin Tools, is the cleanest choice because it can only read.

Does Ando work with private Nightscout sites?

Yes. Ando authenticates with your secret or token, so sites that deny anonymous reading work too.

Can I see my Nightscout glucose on a Garmin or an Apple Watch?

Yes. The Ando Glucose data field shows it on a Garmin during workouts, and Live shows it on your iPhone lock screen and Apple Watch Smart Stack.

Why are my readings late?

Ando can only read what has reached your site. If your uploader is offline or paused, readings arrive late or not at all; once it catches up, Ando fills in the gap.
